General information
The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally. This policy applies to the whole of iban-rechner.pro; the German version is available at /datenschutz.
2. Data collection on this website
IBAN calculation and validation
When you use our IBAN calculator and IBAN checker, the data you enter (bank code, account number, IBAN) is processed exclusively locally in your browser. None of this data is transmitted to our servers. Calculation and validation happen entirely client-side in JavaScript.
Server log files
The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits automatically: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing device, time of the server request and IP address. This data is not combined with other data sources.
3. Privacy and cookie settings
To obtain and manage your advertising consent we use the "Privacy & Messaging" platform provided by Google. It is a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF). The dialog offers equally prominent options to consent, to decline, or to manage individual choices.
Your choice is stored by the platform as a TCF consent record and honoured by AdSense. Where consent is required, the legal bases are Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) of the German TDDDG. Without consent, only the limited ads Google provides for that status may be served; personalised advertising is not activated.

4. Google AdSense
This website uses Google AdSense, an online advertising service of Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google AdSense uses cookies and web beacons to display advertisements that may be relevant to you. The information generated by cookies about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Legal basis: where consent is required, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG. You can review and change which providers and purposes you have allowed at any time via the privacy and cookie settings.
Data processed: IP address, cookie identifiers, usage data (pages visited, time spent), device and browser information.
Third-country transfer: USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

5. Vercel Web Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated reach statistics. The service sets no cookies. Page views are not linked to a person or to a permanently stored IP address; an identifier derived from the request is discarded after 24 hours. The data collected may include the page visited, time, referrer, approximate region and browser, operating system and device type. In addition we measure only technical tool events (e.g. "IBAN check performed" with success status and country code); full IBANs, account numbers, bank codes and free text are never transmitted as analytics parameters.
This processing serves our legitimate interest in privacy-preserving reach measurement and improvement of the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

7. Fonts
This website loads fonts exclusively self-hosted. No external font services (such as Google Fonts) are embedded, so your IP address is not transmitted to third parties for font delivery.
8. Contact by e-mail
You can contact us by e-mail. The mailto: links offered on this website open the e-mail client configured locally on your device. This website provides no contact form and sends no messages through a web form.
If you send us an e-mail, your sender address, the content of your message and technical mail metadata are processed in the recipient's e-mail client and mailbox in order to answer your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions.
Legal bases: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to the initiation or performance of a contract; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in handling enquiries addressed to us.
This data is not passed on unless doing so is necessary to handle your enquiry or required by law.
9. SSL/TLS encryption
For security and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address bar changing from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock icon in your browser bar.
10. Your rights
You have the right to receive, free of charge at any time, information about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the rectification or erasure of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you can withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future (see section 3). You can also contact us at any time about this and any other questions on the subject of data protection, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
11. Hosting
This website is hosted by an external service provider. Personal data collected on this website is stored on the host's servers. This may include IP addresses, contact requests, meta and communication data, contract data, contact details, names, website accesses and other data generated via a website.
