Kosovo's IBAN has 20 characters in the format XKkk BBBB CCCC CCCC CCKK. After the country code XK and the check digits come a 4-digit bank code (including a branch identifier), the 10-digit account number and two national check digits. Kosovo uses the euro unilaterally as its currency but is neither an EU member nor a SEPA participant. For international payments, routing details, fees and timing depend on the banks, currency and route; check them in advance with your bank. The SEPA rate that applies within the euro area does not apply here.
