Portugal's IBAN has 25 characters in the format PTkk BBBB SSSS CCCC CCCC CCCK K. After PT and the IBAN check digits come a 4-digit bank code (e.g. 0033 for Millennium BCP, 0010 for Banco BPI), a 4-digit branch code, the 11-digit account number and two national check digits (NIB check digits). For payments from EU/EEA banks to Portugal, required routing details depend on the bank, currency and route; check them in advance with your bank.
