Slovakia's IBAN has 24 characters in the format SKkk BBBB SSSS SSCC CCCC CCCC. After the country code SK and the check digits come a 4-digit bank code, a 6-digit account prefix (Predčíslie) and the 10-digit account number. Slovakia has been in the euro area since 2009 and is fully SEPA-integrated. The historic account prefix dates back to the former Czechoslovak banking system and is still part of the account number today.
